This collection of photographs was taking on 35mm CineStill 800T, a tungsten light balanced film based on motion picture film. The tungsten balance gives it a dinstinctly cold, blue look that reminds me of iconic depictions of the future through cinema in movies such as Blade Runner, Tron, and The Matrix.
When shooting with this film I tried to lean into this genre and depict our current world in through a cyberpunk lens because in many ways we are living that future.
I pushed the film to 1600 ISO and focused primarily on creating deep contrast between colorful artificial lighting and darkness in urban environments. Pushing the film does lead to quite a lot of grain, which I think adds to the atmosphere of the photos.
